The Amuse Journey was completed in the October Meeting and during the Girl Scout Sleepover.
AMUSE Girl Scout Journey There were three parts to earning this journey. The girls had to earn 3 badges. Reach Out! By earning this award, you should that you understand that there are many roles that women and girls play in the world around them. Speak Out! By earning this award, you show that you are award of how stereotypes could hold yourself other others back from trying on roles, and shows you know how to take action and help stop stereotypes. Try Out! By earning this award, you show that you have the courage and confidence to try out new roles. *Of note, in order for the girls to earn their "Bronze Award" (highest award for Juniors) which we will finish next year, they need to earn all the badges from a Girl Scout Journey
How we earned the 3 badges for the AMUSE Girl Scout Journey October Troop Meeting - We earned Reach Out! & Speak Out! (2 of the 3 badges in our AMUSE Girl Scout Journey) - all about girl empowerment, understanding and not being limited by stereotypes, and finding your own voice. The girls made crafts with a mirror surrounded by empowering messages about who they are and who they will be to remind them of how special and amazing each of them is! Troop Backyard Tent Camping -We earned Try It! (3rd badge) of the AMUSE Girl Scout Journey. This is about girl empowerment, confidence building, acceptance kindness, and friendship. ________________________
